It will be #1 versus #2 in the final of the Ladies Professional Racquetball Tour (LPRT) 2017 Boston Open in Boston, Massachusetts Sunday, when LPRT #1 Paola Longoria faces #2 Frédérique Lambert. Longoria had the easier time in the semi-finals, as she faced a hobbled Rhonda Rajsich, winning 11-0, 11-0, 11-0. Lambert needed four games to defeat 3rd seed Jessica Parrilla, 11-7, 11-4, 9-11, 14-12.

The doubles final will be a repeat of the US Open final – almost. US Open runners up Christina Amaya and Adriana Riveros will face Longoria and Alexandra Herrera, and they lost to Longoria and Gabriela Martinez at the US Open earlier this month.

Longoria and Herrera had a more difficult time than expected of getting to the final, as they were up against Rajsich and Sheryl Lotts in the semi-finals, and Rajsich could hardly move. But Lotts played very well, and covered shots all over the court. She and Rajsich were ahead for most of game one, and looked like they might take it. But Longoria and Herrera came back to win it, and then won the second game, though again it wasn’t an easy one, making the final score, 15-13, 15-9.

Amaya and Riveros came back from a game down to defeat Natalia Mendez and Maria Paz Muñoz, 13-15, 15-3, 11-7, in the other semi.
