“What I enjoy most about Kane winning lately is that it’s proof of doing things properly is what works. He’s not faster than anyone on tour nor is he in better shape than anyone and he’s winning comfortably. All of the other guys are not worse athletes it’s just that they are inconsistent in certain areas and because of poor mechanics (especially on the forehand lately) nobody else has a serve that’s a consistent weapon. Sudsy & Kane are the only 2 players of the recent generations that swing correctly from both sides and both were the hardest to beat because there was no definite place to go to that you could count on being a good source for points. Of course, they’re exceptional athletes but there have been many others out there too that don’t even come close to being able to compete because they have flaws that lead to inconsistency and flaws that keep them from having a weapon. After the serve, the next weapon that Kane and Sudsy have is that they both can go DOWN THE LINE on both the FH & BH regularly, even when difficult, and they can do it with power and consistency! Regularly, with power. That’s the difference. The other guys can all do it occasionally. Some days a bunch, the next day not at all. Pretty well for a weekend, not at all the next. This is exactly why there’s no clear number 1 when Kane is not around. They all go back & forth because they’re all inconsistent and it doesn’t matter how great of an athlete they are. Once a person can’t go down the line the results are predictable. Against Sudsy & Kane I always had to stand in the middle and respect all shots which meant I had to cover more court. Before Sudsy & Kane, Dave Peck & Gregg Peck also could do this, and they were very successful. Dave was #1 in the world when Hogan & Yellen were in their prime and most would say he was built more like a wrestler than an ideal racquetball player.
There is very little room for variation in these mechanics and I know because I’ve done it all wrong and I’ve learned how to do it correctly which is why I know for sure that I beat guys that were bigger, stronger, faster. Coach’s from around the world tell their players that there’s many ways to do these things and there is not, and I know there’s plenty of proof to what I’m saying. Same goes for C players all the way to pros. If you want to be as good as you can possibly, be I know I can help you and I enjoy it. Dave & Gregg Peck helped me, and I’ll gladly guide you to exactly how to finally hit a backhand or forehand like you know you’re capable of. I’ll also tell you exactly why what you’re doing is incorrect and exactly how to fix it on your own from anywhere in the world.”
