Alejandro Landa won the San Luis Open last weekend in San Luis Potosi, Mexico – a Tier 3 event on the International Racquetball Tour (IRT). Landa defeated Alvaro Beltran in the final, 11-8, 4-11, 11-2, 11-5. In the semi-finals, Landa beat Edson Martinez, Andree Parrilla, 11-9, 11-7, 11-6, while Beltran needed five games to get past Edson Martinez, 2-11, 11-7, 2-11, 11-5, 11-7.

Landa and Beltran played doubles together in San Luis, so you’d think that they won that title, but you’d be wrong, as Martinez and Parrilla got the better of Landa and Beltran, 15-11, 15-8.

There are two IRT Tier 1 events in November. This weekend a large field of 34 players will be in Georgia for the Atlanta Pro-Am, November 2-5. Then they will be in St Louis for the Pro Racquetball Winter Rollout, November 16-18.
