What can we do to activate more female players?
Achieve more professional tournaments accessible for all the girls, especially for the new generations of professional racquetball. Since there is a large number of players but not everybody has the resource and it’s impossible to add points to the ranking.

What is your hope for the future of racquetball?
I would like it to become an Olympic sport and to be played in all the countries of the world.

How do you feel is the best way to help grow the sport of racquetball?
First of all, Professionals need to act like professionals because many players do not behave as they are in and off the court. We are the example for many players, especially the young ones.
We need to formalize the sport, we can look up and take as an example big sports, such as tennis. We need to stop doing things informally. Follow the rules entirely, as in the book, as players, directors, coaches, associations, federations, boards etc.
Also, have more ambassadors worldwide and look for sponsors as institution, not only as players, or for one tournament.

If you could bring one thing back from racquetball past – what would it be and why?
The number of players who used to participate in all the big or small tournaments. The brackets are thinner every time.

What do you do to train?
In the morning, physical training, gym, physical and functional conditioning. And technique on the court.
In the afternoon cardio and game.
I complement my training with a diet supervised by a nutritionist.

What is the biggest challenge you face right now as it comes to racquetball, and how do you work to overcome that challenge?
In 2000 I was run over by a car, beside to fight for my life, I had many injuries in my body, especially my back and my left leg. Since then I have been struggling with the consequences that this accident left me. In 2012 I started with pain problems in my back due to herniated disc, I struggled not to operate, but in April of 2014 I had my first surgery and in May the second surgery. They told me that I would never be able to set foot on a racquetball court again, and in April of 2017 I played professional again. It has been an impressive fight.
One year later I had another surgery for an abdominal hernia. A year after that a calf tear, and I am currently recovering from a cruciate ligament (ACL) surgery in my left knee. I hope to play again in December of this year.
The daily work and the struggle to get back to stand on a racquetball court and not only that, playing professional has been a challenge for me. Sometimes the energy is exhausted but the motivation and the desire makes you get up and continue in that fight.
